Privacy policy of Vitiligo.nl
This privacy policy applies to all personal data that Vitiligo.nl (hereinafter: the association) processes of its members, donors, debtors and creditors, board members, volunteers, participants or other interested parties.
If you become a member of the association, make a donation or provide personal data to the association for any other reason, you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data in line with this privacy policy.
We advise you to read the privacy policy carefully and keep a copy of it for your own administration.
1. Responsible person
Responsible for the processing of personal data is:

2. What data does the association process and for what purpose?
2.1
The following personal data are processed in the context of your membership:
a) initials;
b) first and last name;
c) gender;
d) street, house number, postal code, city, country;
e) telephone number;
f) email address;
g) bank account number;
h) date of birth.
2.2
The association processes the personal data referred to in sub 2.1 for the following purposes:
a) Your initials, name, gender, address details, telephone number and email address will be used to contact you and any cancellation thereof, for the provision of the information you have requested or to process the information obtained from you;
b) Your initials, name, gender, address details, telephone number and email address will be used to send invitations and information about the services, activities and surveys organized by the association in the context of membership;
c) Your initials, name, gender, address details, telephone number, age and email address will be used to send invitations and information about the services, activities and surveys organized by the association in the context of (children's) activities;
d) Your name and bank account will be used to settle payments, for example contributions.
Email marketing (opt-out):
the association uses your name and e-mail address to periodically send its e-mail newsletter with information about (similar) activities, services and other interesting information about membership of the association, unless you have indicated that you do not want these e-mails received. You can unsubscribe from these mailings at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the mailing.
Email marketing (opt-in):
Only if you have given permission, the association will use your name and e-mail address to periodically send you its e-mail newsletter with information about activities, services and other interesting information about membership of the association. You can unsubscribe from these mailings at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the mailing.
2.3
The association can anonymize the personal data and then use it at an aggregated and anonymized level for research purposes and to optimize its range of services and activities. The aggregated and anonymized data can never be traced back to you as an individual. The data will never be made available to third parties.
3. Retention periods
The association processes and stores your personal data for the duration of the membership and for a maximum of one year after the end of this membership. Immediately after the aforementioned retention period, the association will destroy and/or anonymize the personal data, unless the law (for example under tax legislation / tax authorities = 7 years) requires that certain personal data be retained for a longer period of time. In the latter case, only these specific personal data will be retained for the statutory retention period.
4. Security measures and processors
4.1
The association has taken appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data. This protects your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
4.2
The association uses third-party services, so-called processors, to process personal data. These processors only process the personal data on behalf of the association. The association has entered into a processor agreement with the processors in which the processor is obliged to comply with all obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act, the European General Data Protection Regulation and this privacy policy. A list of our processors can be requested from the association.
5. Right of inspection, deletion and questions about complaints
5.1
You can submit a request via the association's website to view, receive, change or delete your personal data. The association will process your request and inform you, in any case within one month of receipt of your request, of the response to the request. If the association does not grant your request, it will always explain this in further detail.
5.2
If you wish to object to the (further) processing of your personal data as referred to in Article 2, you can also contact us via our website. The association will process the objection within one month and delete the relevant personal data, unless it is required to retain the relevant personal data based on a legal obligation. If the latter is the case, the association will inform you of this.

If you have any complaints about the way in which the association processes your personal data or handles your requests, you can contact us via the website.
