Vitess Study Erasmus MC
Erasmus MC, Rotterdam will shortly launch the Vitess study, a clinical trial into a new treatment for (non-segmental) vitiligo.
In this study, a new drug developed by Novartis is investigated at different dosages and compared to a placebo.
For this, Erasmus MC is seeking participants who:
- Be 18 years or older;
- Having non-segmental vitiligo on both the face and body;
- -Have tried medicinal ointments for at least 3 months with insufficient effect.
The study lasts 48 weeks (with an optional extension of one year). During this period, you will receive an injection of the investigational drug or placebo every two weeks.
In addition, you have monthly hospital visits for a physical examination, blood tests, and questionnaires.
Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Moreover, this study has been approved by the Medical Ethics Review Committee (METC) Erasmus MC, a legally recognized committee that reviews medical scientific research involving human subjects.
