Vitiligo.nl represents the interests of vitiligo patients. The association has approximately 1,275 members. Since its founding in 1990, increasing knowledge about vitiligo has been an important objective. The association does this by:
to provide information via the association website, on members' days, in the members' magazine Spotlight!  and the digital information bulletin Espot. In addition, Vitiligo.nl asks healthcare providers (dermatologists and treatment centers) to pay attention to vitiligo. It is very important that more research is done into treatment methods. That is why Vitiligo.nl encourages research where possible. For example, by sharing the valuable experiences of members with doctors and researchers. Contact with fellow sufferers is also an important pillar of the association. On members days and on the private Facebook page members can exchange experiences with each other.
