Volunteers speak.
A patient association like Vitiligo.nl can only exist thanks to the efforts of volunteers. A huge number of tasks are carried out by volunteers. Below a few volunteers introduce themselves.

Carmen Zohland,My motivation is that I also want to contribute, however small, to the awareness and acceptance of vitiligo. Mainly as a hostess on members' days. |

Richard Klaver, I became a volunteer because I wanted to do more for fellow sufferers, to raise awareness of this skin condition and to also stay informed of medical developments. I was on the board for a while, but my work no longer allowed me to do so due to the extensive travelling. I am still a volunteer and take care of the organization of our membership and contact days. And I still enjoy doing that! |

Sharista Lachman,I have been a volunteer at Vitiligo.nl since 2017. Meeting people with Vitiligo and hearing different personal stories helped me to accept my Vitiligo. This year I also started as one of the columnists to share my own story! Mainly as a hostess on members' days. |

Gerard Mulder,Gerard (1946) lives in Maartensdijk and is an architect with a feeling for administration. I have had vitiligo since 1980 and I have had to learn to live with vitiligo and vitiligo is now part of my life. Vitiligo is not a life-threatening disease, but it is a disease that can have a major impact on your life. Because vitiligo is not a 'life-threatening' disease and is therefore often sidetracked, a strong patient association is necessary to stimulate research into the how and why of vitiligo. That is why I became a volunteer member administrator at the vitiligo patient association to help build a strong and well-organized association. . |
