She was radiant last night in the television program RTL Late Night: Winnie Harlow, the American fashion model with striking vitiligo spots, also on her face. LVVP member Bob Koster, who has similar spots, was there and had the chance to chat with her.

It was the first time that Winnie, also called Chantelle, talked about her vitiligo in a Dutch program: how she was teased about it as a child, but later had the courage to show her spots fully and even participate in the photo modeling competition 'America's Next Top Model'. She also explained very clearly what vitiligo actually is: an error in the body's own immune system, which attacks and 'eats' its own pigment cells.

The RTL Late Night camera briefly zoomed in on Bob Koster, who was in the audience in the studio with Humberto Tan. Winnie came to him after the broadcast and they had their picture taken together. “She is very approachable and friendly,” says Bob. "The whole recording was a fun experience." Since Winnie Harlow participated in 'America's Next Top Model', her career has taken off like a rocket. This spring she is even the face of the fashion brands Diesel and Desigual. It seems that these brands want to make a statement for more tolerance and love. The photos with Winnie Harlow are colorful and inspiring, the fun radiates from them. A lot different from those grumpy looking models on the catwalk.
