On World Vitiligo Day, you can be photographed at the Noordermarkt in Amsterdam in two iconic tableaux vivants – inspired by the style of Rembrandt:
World Vitiligo Day 2025
On Wednesday, June 25 – World Vitiligo Day – Vitiligo.nl will present the event Living Canvas – The Art of Vitiligo in Amsterdam.
From young to old, about twenty volunteers bring vitiligo to life with classic paintings by Rembrandt and Van Gogh, among others.
In historical costumes they literally show themselves in a context from which they had previously been absent for centuries.
This creates a colorful tableau vivant.

Breaking news.
On January 15, 2025, the official announcement and handover of the European Vitiligo White Paper took place in the European Parliament (legislative body of the European Union) in Brussels.
This document is an important milestone with a lot of information and recommendations. It will serve as a reference framework for the promotion of the interests of vitiligo patients in the coming years.

The biennial members day scheduled for October 6 will be moved to June 23 for organizational reasons and will be held in combination with World Vitiligo Day.
Both separate and joint program components are provided for members and non-members. The full program will be finalized and announced later.
