A so-called Koebner phenomenon can occur during laser treatment. This means that damage to the skin from the laser (especially because vascular lasers can be a bit in the spectrum of skin pigment) can cause a new vitiligo spot.

It is therefore advisable to exercise restraint and be very careful with this. A trial treatment is an option, but no guarantee that new vitiligo spots will not develop in the lasered area.
