What is emerged from the National Association for Vitiligo Patients. The association was founded in 1990 and has approximately 1,450 members. represents the interests of vitiligo patients. It provides information and funds research. In addition, is an association for contact with fellow sufferers. For example, the association publishes a magazine (Spotlight!), organizes members' days and information meetings in hospitals throughout the Netherlands.

What does membership cost?

Membership is €28 per calendar year (as of 2022). You will also receive the members magazine 4 times a year Spotlight!sent home

What can a volunteer do within the association?

There is plenty to do. We can use people for all kinds of tasks, such as:

  • Calling: visitors to information meetings (member recruitment), applicants for information and/or Spotlight! via website
  • Writing pieces for Spotlight!
  • Tweeting/providing input for Twitter
  • Taking minutes during board meetings
  • Hostess / host during members days
  • Management positions
  • Help set up and man stands
